Located on 71A Old Street, the Old Fire Station is one of Ludlow’s most distinctive examples of adaptive heritage. While its iconic red-brick arches and Victorian proportions suggest its famous past as a hub for local fire crews, the building’s history actually stretches back to the 18th century, when it served as a coach house for a neighbouring hotel.
For much of the 20th century, the ground floor housed two fire engines, serving as the town's primary emergency response centre.
Situated just a two-minute walk from the Market Square and Ludlow Castle, it remains a vital piece of the town's architectural tapestry, blending its "loud waters" history with modern Shropshire luxury.
